Prof. B.C.Mal Former Vice Chancellor CSVTU, Bhilai delivered a Guest lecture to CIVIL students on “Ground water hydrology- Aquifers” on 11th October, 2013.
Department conducted a Guest Lecture on Basic Civil Engineering & Surveying Methods by Prof. Poola Nagesh HOD - CIVIL( TKR Engineering College Hyderabad) from 14th April to 19th April 2014. The following topics has been covered in this Session.
- Various types of building materials like cement, steel, bricks and their manufactory
- Different Grades of concrete according to IS456:2000 and their production
- Quality control in construction and tests used for it
- Reading and comprehending a building plan and section
- Identification of footing, plinth, lintel, slab, chajja etc. on a given cross-section.
